Running Siemens LOGO! Comfort V8.3 on macOS Monterey with Apple Silicon

I recently installed Siemens LOGO! Comfort V8.3 on macOS Monterey on a 14″ M1 MacBook Pro. This is not completely straight-forward as Monterey is not officially supported by Siemens.
